IT Is not alwavs the work connected with, the three r s in the classroom which is most attractive to the youngster, especially of the Huckleberry Huckle-berry Finn type, which usually finds a fair representation in. the seventh grade of the citys public schools., In recognition of this fact, Anna M. Davis, who has under her pedagogical wing two score or more of seventh graders grad-ers of the Franklin school, engages the attention and Interest of her pupils by : providing them with an outlet for their energies elsewhere than in the classroom. She has them prepare entertainments and make garments for the destitute Belgians. La Rue Smith, lna Treharne and Marguerite Knox; a piano duet by Miss La Deen Baxter and Miss Marguerite Knox, and a, flag salute by the class. Cakes were presented to the old folks at the close 0 the program. |
