Show BAND'S RECEIPTS IN TOUR ARE $15,574 Lieutenant B. H. Roberts States Artillerymen's Ar-tillerymen's Fund Will Be Augmented Aug-mented by $12,000. The tour of the 145th artillery band, completed with the entertainment at the capitol last night, has been most successful suc-cessful and the Camp Kearny musicians have everywhere met with an enthusiastic reception. Lieutenant B. H. Roberts, regimental regi-mental chaplain, said last night in reviewing re-viewing the trip. Including the receipts at the capitol last night, which were estimated at SloAO, the band has received contributions of $15,574.91, Lieutenant Roberts said. In consequence of high railroad fares expenses ex-penses of the tour have been heavy, but more than $12,000 will be added to the regimental fund as a result of the trip. Lieutenant Roberts expressed the appreciation ap-preciation of the band and the regiment to Governor Bamberger, members of the state council of defense and all others who have aided in making the undertaking undertak-ing a success. |
