Show THOMAS PLEASED BY WILSON'S ACT NEW YORK, July 24. Percy Thomas, deputy international president of the Commercial Telegraphers Union of America, Amer-ica, in a statement here tonight, said that every union must rejoice at the decision of President Wilson to take over the telegraph tele-graph lines, which insures a "practical application of democracy," and leaves telegraph employees as free to join a labor la-bor union as to join a church or lodge. He declared that the cases of thousands of men and women employees of the Western Union Telegraph company, discharged dis-charged for joining tin union, would be reviewed by Postmaster . General Burleson Burle-son and that he believed they probably would be reinstated. |
