Show ERONCHO RUNS WILD IN CITY OF BROOKLYN Two Men Seriously Injured and a Fivo and Ten-Cent Store Badly Wrecked. NEW YORK, July 24. The heat, the honking of an automobile horn and the efforts of a blacksmith to put shoes on its feet so shattered the nerves of a western west-ern broncho just irrived In the Brownsville Browns-ville sector of Brooklyn that it ran amuck late today. The casualties included, the serious injury of two men and the wrecking wreck-ing of a five-and-ten-cent store. The men were hurt trying to get out of the way. The store was well filled with shoppers when the horse made a spectacular entry through a show window. Clerks and customers cus-tomers fled to the basement and screamed so lustily that the police reserves were called, but the broncho went out the front door without slackening its speed after hurdling a counter. A motorcycle policemen saw the horse emerge from the store and gave chase, after making sure his eyesight was not defective. He caught the animal after a pursuit of fifteen fif-teen blocks. |
