Show LUCKY SHEPHERD IS WEARING ORE BODY W. B. Rawsoii, president and general manager of. the Lucky Shepherd iMin-iDg iMin-iDg company, which holds sixteen full and surveyed clauns in West Tiutic district, dis-trict, nine miles south of the Tintic-Delaware, Tintic-Delaware, reports only five or six feet of work to be done on the main drift to cut the eastern edge of the vein at a depth of about loQ feet. He says the miners are confident they will get the vein before they come in for July 4. Some considerable time ago, umler another an-other management, the Tintie-Delaware took out from the shaft at a depth of 100 feet a shipment of $120 lead-silver ore. It is to cut this vein at depth that the drift has been run, the miners have gone through the porphyry and reached the porphyry-lime contact, with good stringers of ore making through the lime into the face of the drift. From the surveys made and from present indications indica-tions Mr. Kaw-son is confident that he is but a few feet from the objective. The property is equipped with an eight horsepower hoist, having a capacity ca-pacity of 1000 pounds, 100 feet per minute, and hence is well able to handle han-dle the output in good shape. The mine is located on the same road as the Tintic-Delaware, which is held bv the same interests and has already rjffgun the hauling of ore by trucks. |
