Rice, sales manager of the Nor-dyke Nor-dyke & Marmon company, received two letters recently which he considers very fine pieces of motor car literature, says W. Tx. Levering. IocaI Marmon dealer. The first letter follows: "As a comparatively new member of the Marmon family I feel that I must express ex-press to you my continually increasing enthusiasm over the performances of this wonderful car Of course, like all sat isfied owners I naturally think mine is the best individual car the factory ever turned out, but laying aside superficiaJ praise I want to say that I have never ri-ltien in any automobile that even ap-proar-hd the smooth, eliding motion of the car, whether the speed be five or fifty miles, over rough or good roads. Ita capacity for covering ground is nothing short of marvelous, and the fact that you never have to worry about shifting gears for rough roads or steep hills allows you to relax you r muscles on a long drive, with a pleasing sensation of rest j and real enjoyment, instead of the cus- tomary tense strain that makes one too tired to sleep by night. Only yesterday I covered 1!00 miles, did a full ten-hour day's work, and arose at the usual hour this morning, just as fresh as though I had merely gone to town the day before in the usual routine of business. "With best wishes for your continued success, I am, "Very aineerelv yours, "W. M. LEFTvv-TCH." Tn response to this letter, Mr. Ric requested permission to use it for the Marmon News, and in reply got the second sec-ond letter, which is even more cheerful than the first one. "Have just returned from a southern trip, and beg to reply herewith to your letter of the 10th. "Would like for your company to know that my letter of March 30, regarding my 1 Marmon "34," was entirely voluntary on "my part, and written without thought of publication. However, if you think it would be of any benefit to the many discriminate users of pleasure cars who are really looking for a car that will not only give them the greatest satisfaction in comfort and speed, but will actually operate at a less iost per mile than cheaper and medium-priced cars, you are at liberty to use the letter in your publication, publi-cation, and not only that, I would be glad to answer personal letters from any prospective pros-pective customers , who want to know the inside facts from other sources besides the agent. "By actual test I have found that I can get more mileage from gasoline, oil and tires In my seven-passenger Marmon than I could from a good roadster of another make, which I used for years before purchasing a Marmon. "With best wishes for your continued success, I am, "Yours very truly, "W. M. LEFT WICH. M |
