In the shipment is also included a thorough hred bull of the shorthorn class purchased from Harvey Har-vey J jit tie of Jonesville. Wis., reputed to lie the foremost breeder of leading dairy shorthorns in the country. All ot tlie cattle were purchased in Wisconsin, and the Idahoans were assisted in picking pick-ing out the cattle they wanted by experts ex-perts from the College of Agriculture of Wisconsin, as w"elt as by various county agents of that state. The buyers were unnble to get some of tho breeds they wanted pI this time, but Mr. Sessions stated today that the orders for Hols terns and pure -bred shorthorns were Idled. It is the purpose of the farmers in this county to build up one of the best dairy herds in the west, and county and state officials and local banks are lending every assistance to aid the farmers in their enterprising move. This is not the first venture of the kind undertaken under-taken by the Bannock county farmers. |
