Show Cannot Locate Densmore. By Universal Service. SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., Nov. 24. With the meeting of the county grand jury, called to investigate charges of corruption corrup-tion made by J. . B. Densmore, director general of employment under the United : States department of labor, against District Dis-trict Attorney C. M. Fickert and other county officials, in connection with the Mooney case, only a few hours away, all efforts to locate Den6moro nnd serve him with a subpena to appenr before the pranrl jury tomorrow night have been fruitless. Densmore is to be the star witness-In the investigation, but since his report was made public he has successfully evaded all process servers, although this cily as well as the cities on the other sidn of the bay have, been combed by bailiffs bai-liffs and deputy sheriffs in an effort to serve him with a subpena. He Is registered reg-istered at a local hotel, but he has not been seen for several days. |
