Show RIGHT TO COMBINE IS ACCORDED LABOR LINCOLN, Neb., Nov. 20. The right of employees iu Nebraska to combine to secure higher wages or improve their working conditions was upheld by j.he supremo court today in an opinion affirming af-firming a decision by the dfstrict court of Dougla-ss county, in which the state's attorney general was refused an Injunc- tion designed to restrain labor unions j in Omaha from picketing during labor i controversies in that city In ID 17. In giving this opinion the high court aiso held that in tho absence of contracts con-tracts for fixed terms of employment employees have the right to refuse to work and also to persuado others to stop work. The principle of tho "open shop" was involved In the controversies t:W the court held that employers, ytis well as employees, have the right to resort to any lawful practice to 'accomplish toelr objects. |
