Show rivers and harbors meet is postponed V, V. Fitz Gerald, secretary to Governor Gov-ernor Bamberger, received notice yesterday yester-day that the fourteenth annual convention conven-tion of the national rivers and harbors congress, which was to have been held in Washington, December 5. 6 and 7, has been indefinitely postponed. Joseph E. Rensdell, president, and S. A. Thompson, secretary, of the congress, say that this is made necessary by the fact that so many persons n re in and going to Washington on business connected con-nected with the war that the hotels are unable to accommodate them and that It would he beyond hope to find quarters quar-ters for the delegates. |
