Show RECOVER STOLEN CAR HOUR AFTER REPORT i One hour after the police department had been notified that a stolen automobile automo-bile had been driven up to a garage for casoline ami then driven hurriedly away, Patrolmen O. C. Brown and A. S. Thompson Thomp-son had recovered the machine, last night. The machine was owned by Dr. W. W. Bennett of 630 First avenue, and was stolen Saturday evening. The police notified no-tified all garaeres. through one of whk-h they last night received notice of the missing car turning up for gasoline. Thompson and Brown saw the car being be-ing driven a cress the D. & R. G. tracks at Ninth South and Fifth West streets, and ran after 1L The occupants, realizing realiz-ing they were being chased, jammed the muchine in the middle of the tracks and fled. With the exception of the gears being slightly jammed the machine Is j in good condition, and was returned to its owner late last night. b |
