Show DEMPSEY AND HECTOR WILL BOX AT MURRAY Con Gallagher of the Murray Are department de-partment yesterday announced that ho would stage a boxing bout for the benefit of the fireman's fund in his home city S-eptember 28. He has matched Jack Dempsey. the Manhattan club heavyweight, heavy-weight, with Young Hector uf Denver, former amateur heavyweight champion of the Rocky Mountain division of the A. A. V. Dempsey. through his manager. A. ,T. Auerbach, accepted terms last night, and Fred Winsor closed the Hector end of i t Immediately after. The bout, which will go over the fifteen-round route, will be held at the Rocadero hall. There will also be an eight-round and a ten-round bout. Young Hector turned professional two years ago, after a brilliant career as an amateur. He boxed Jim Flynn a ten-round ten-round draw In his first professional bout. Then he held big Jack Barrv even for twenty rounds, which was all that Gunboat Gun-boat Smith could do to Harry three weeks later. Hector recently knocked Bob York out In four rounds.
