Show GETS SCHOLARSHIP ' OF Ilia CLUE1 Vern C. Woolley of Grantsvilie Grants-vilie Makes Good Record at Logan College. The Harvard club of Utah, after a ! keen contest among nine competitors, ! has awarded its $J0 scholarship for the year 19 16-191 7 to Vern C. Woolley of Grantsvilie. 1 Mr. Woolley, who is 26 years of ape, received his preparatory training at the Agricultural College of T'tah at Logan. He specialized while there in economics and history and received a degree of , B. 8. general science in J 911. j As a special mark of distinction in ! scholarship at the Agricultural college Mr. Woolley was awarded "three years in succession the "AM scholarship pin, which is given annually by tho college to the six students showing the best grades in scholarship for the year. In addition to scholarly attainments, Mr. Woolley took a prominent part in student activities. lie was a member of the U. A. 0. intercollegiate debating team during his junior and senior years, manager of debating during his senior year and associato editor of the Junior Year book. He was valedictorian of his class and a member of Pi Zeta Pi fraternity. Since graduation Mr. Woolley has been engaged iu teaching school and ranching. This fall ho will enter the graduate school of business administration administra-tion at Harvard, which is equivalent to j professional training for business life, j |
