Show EAST ANTELOPE IS MARKEDLY BETTER Superintendent Sends Down Samples of Copper Ore Certainly High. Grade; Waiting for Assays. A. McLease, superintendent of the East Antelope mining property, located next to the Anteiope Star in Millard county, yesterday sent down some samples of croppings found during his surveying of newly-acquired ground. Veteran in the mining world as lie is. the superintendent does not make a positive statement, but says, "If I am not mistaken, they will run from 10 to 40 per cent copper." He adds that this occurs on the fissure for which the miners are driving and which he expects to cut within a week. Speaking of developments in the main shaft, the superintendent says that copper cop-per sulphides are coming into the bottom and that there are many indications that a big change is about to he noted. The same interests which are in control con-trol of the Kast Antelope are also largely Interested in the Leonora property, located lo-cated just across the valley from the Antelope properties, but in Beaver county. It was said yesterday by President John Matson of the Leonora that his last report re-port from the management indicated a much Improved condition in several parts of the mine. Mr. Matson Is also one of the big stockholders stock-holders in the Eureka Bullion mine, located lo-cated in the East Tintic district, between the Tintic Standard and the Colorado-Iron Blossom vein. A message yesterday from Superintendent Petty of the property recounted re-counted favorable and cheering progress on the main tunnel. |
