MANY SAFETY ZONE MARKERS WRECKED Kiphteen safety zone markers have heen wrecked since the recent innovation of the traffic snuad of the Salt J-ake City police department, indicating, according- to Serseant Lester Wire of the traffic squad, that, although the markers afford protection pro-tection to pedestrians, they themselves are accorded no such treatment. Most of the markers have been wrecked hy careless auto drivers, It Is said, and in nearly every case the wrecks have occurred oc-curred after 1 o'clock in the morning. The markers on First South and Main streets have come in for the worst treatment, treat-ment, one having1 heen wrecked by an automobile which Is said to have skidded as it was turning the corner at a high rate of apeed.
