April's high record of copper metal sales, when total bookings of all agencies was close to 4e0.00l'.oM0 pounds, will be broken this monlh, according- to producers. Wednesday's Wednes-day's business was practicallv a duplicate of Tuesday's. The estimate of producers as to the aggregate done tn the two davs runs between 7ii.iJ00.0nO and S0.0n0.0o0 pounds, at strong prices, depending entirely en-tirely upon the delivery involved. Oeto-ber Oeto-ber sold at. 27 cents, the highest price received for several months. November contracts have been made at 2o-.'. cents. Inquiries have come from A7nerican manufacturers for delivery through next February. There Is an insistent demand for October copper and il Is now u.uite j scarce, with producers dictating prices! and terms. There is every Indication that ! prices are going much higher.
