Come Monday. : Play In the slate tennis tournament is 1 now in full swing and the officials are beginning to look forward to the semi-1 semi-1 finals, which will be played Monday, and the finals on Tuesday, at the Country club. All the matches yesterday were played at tho Salt Lake Tennis cuib and several stood contests developed. The best match was in the doubles, between R. J. Mc-Ivay Mc-Ivay and T. B. Parker on one side and D. C. Roberts and F. I. Jansen on the other. The former team won, after two hard sets, the iirst 6-3 and the second S-6. There were three good matches in the singles. Cannon Lund won his match from C. B. Oliver after three seta, and A. M. Cheney required three sets to win from Paul KJrwan. Charles Schweneka defeated Frank Duncan in two sets, but the second one proved a real battle, the score standing 9-7. Following are the complete results: Men's singles C. Lund defeated C. B. Oliver 6-3, 4-6, 6-0: George Badger defeated de-feated A. E. Canfield, t-0, 6-4; Charles Schweneka defeated 1-Yank Duncan, 6-3, 9-7; C. H. Tlngev defeated C. B. Monroe, 6-3. 6-3; A. M. Cheney defeated Paul Kir-wan. Kir-wan. 6-4, 2-6, G-4. Men's doubles McKay and Parker defeated de-feated Roberts and Jansen, 6-3, S-6. Women's doubles Miss Thurston and Mrs. G. H. Smith defeated Mrs. E. A. Gaw and Mrs. W. D. Donoher, 6-1, 2-6. 6-4.
