Show CASES ARE HEARD IN FEDERAL COURT Motion to quasli the indictment against j John Kelish. charged with forgery, due I to have been heard yesterday afternoon, ! has been postponed until July 8. At that time a demurrer to the indictment will also be presented. The examination of EdNvard P. Fleming, Flem-ing, expert chemist, and a witness for the defense in the case of the farmers of southern Salt Lake countv against the American Smelting & Refining company I and the United States Smelting companv. was completed yesterday. Other wit- I nesses called esterday bv the defense : were Robert James McKav, J. Hovt : Maxwell, B. A. Berryman. Corvdon 1 Chamberlin and John Ohendorfer. Fur- titer discussion of the' case was post- i poned until July 5. It was understood that the continuation of this case would commence Fridav. .July 11, and last until September 1. No immediate conclusion of the case is expected. |
