Invitations have been Issued for a big holiday dancing party at the Elks' pavilion pa-vilion on the evening of December -$ Each member of the local order of Elks will ho accorded the privilege of inviting a friend. The dance will be held at the pavilion and a turkey supper will be served at the club rooms at 12:30 at night. Christmas gifts that were appreciated and of some value were distributed on Wednesday and Thursday of this week by the officers of I he local Elks lodge. Besides a large supply of grooei ies and provisions this order delivered a carload of coal to some of the widows of the deceased de-ceased members and the more needy people peo-ple about town. The "good fellow" spirit was certainly shown by tho members of the Eureka lodge. Appropriate Christmas exercises were held at. nearly all of the Eureka churches on Thursday evening and in most instances in-stances trees were loaded with treats and gifts for the little folks.
