Show PIONEER DOCTOR IS DEAD AT AGE OF 87 Dr. Luther M. Palmer, One-time Family Physician for Brigham Young", Passes Away. Dr. Luther M. Palmer, 87 yars of age, at one time famllv physician for Brigham Young, died of old age yesterday at the residence of his son, J. Q. Palmer. 250A West Fourth Nort h street. Mr. Palmer was bom July 5, 1S27, in Offdenshurg, X. Y. lie went to California at the time of the gold rush and practiced medicine there for a short time, coming to Salt I-ake from San Francisco in 1 Sr.l. He continued In active practice until 1900, living liv-ing in Colomdo for several year:-, and afterward In Fayette, Utah. For the last seven years he had marie his home with his son in this city. His wife died In Rid et way, Colo., fourteen years apo. Three sons and three daus'htera tuirvive Mr. Palmer. They are M. A. Palmer of Ririsway. Colo.; C. W. Palmer of Tu-lane, Tu-lane, Cal.: J. Q. Palmer of this city; Mrs. George W. Txing of Salina, t.'tnh ; Mrs. T,ewis Bevelie of Littleton, Colo., and Mrs. J. A. Hafer of Sacramento, Cal. Arrangements for the funeral will not. be completed until the relatives are heard from and announcement will be made later. |
