No report of any cap tures by the Karlsruhe has been re ce ved since last November Pr oi to that time it displayed great activity and every few days seized or sank an enemy vessel The English drew a cordon of war ships around South America and the West Indies about a month ago and t seemed imposs ble for e ther the Dresden or the Karlsruhe to escape.
