Development work In -the tunnel of the Columbus Extension Mining company, the property of which is located in the Alta district, is being pushed ahead steadily, according to A. O. Jacobson, who returned from the mine yesterday. The Columbus Extension company has signed contracts for nir and power with the Wasatch Mines company, formerly the Columbus Consolidated company, and there are now two shifts employed in driving. The necessary nec-essary pipeline repair work has been completed com-pleted and the equipment placed in such shape th4.t the work will go steadilv on without Interruption. The entire district is showing considerable consid-erable activity, according to Mr. Jacob-son. Jacob-son.
