Show APOLLO FIVE DEFEATS L. D. S. U. QUINTETTE Special to The Tribune. AMERICAN' PORK, Dec. 29. The L. D. S. U. basketball team of Salt Lake was a complete surprise to the Apollo quintette quin-tette here tonight, and. although the locals won, they were forced to extend themselves them-selves to the limit. The final score was 41 to 31. The count at the end of the first half was 24 lo 17. The visitors were handicapped considerably consid-erably by the slippery floor and this may account for a portion of their defeat. Nevertheless, the Salt Lake boys played a grand game and held the locals to the smallest score thus far this season. For the L. D. S. U.. Smith was the star, while J. Parker, the Apollo center, was the best player for the locals. A large crowd saw the game. The lineup: .i;, D- S. U. American Fork. "llama If Barratt Ta' ?r rf Lindlav p1111------ c j.
