Show PEACE APPEAL SENT TO THE PRESIDENT Salt Lake Women Urge Action That May Result in Termination of War. As a part of the nation-wide appeal being made to President Wilson by the Woman's Pea e party and other like or-ga or-ga nlzations that he endeavor to bring about a co-ordinate action of the neutral governments in the Interest of peace, a telegram urgigx this action was sent last nisht to the nation's chief executive by the Salt T-ake organization of the party. The sending of the telegram wa? authorized au-thorized at a meeting of the local or-- or-- ganization held yesterday afternoon at i the Commercial ciub. About twenty-i twenty-i five members were present and Mrs. F. M. McHugh, chairman, presided. , The telegram forwarded read : Honorable Wood row Wilson, President Presi-dent of the United States, Washington. Wash-ington. D. C. i Citizens of .Rlt Lake respectfully urge you to co-operate with other neutral governments in calling a conference, con-ference, of neutral nations which would constitute a court of continuous continu-ous mediation, invite suggestions for settlement from warring nations and. in anv ras. submit simultaneously to of them reasonable proposals as a basis for pea.e. |
