Show CKCUTTI FROM RIO BRIDE SIFT Kxcellent progress ia being made in the mining operations conducted on the Rio Grande Grub Stake Mining company's property, located in the Ter-rington Ter-rington district, twenty-five miles east of Mason Valley, New, and about eighteen eight-een miles east of the Thompson smelter smel-ter H. M. Qulnn. secretary of the company, com-pany, has returned from the property. The company is at present crosscut ting In a southeasterly direction for one of the main fissures. ' The crosscut was started from the 310-foot 310-foot level of the main shaft and during the past forty-two days 110 feet were driven. The crosscut has been in low-grade low-grade ore ail of that distance and the management Is looking forward to encountering en-countering pay ore in commercial quantities quan-tities as soon as the main fissure is cut. It is expected that this will be reached In about 200 feet more of driving. This fissure fis-sure shows on the surface and contains values In gold, silver and copper. The crosscut was recently driven through twelve feet of sulphide ore that ran from $1 to ?S in gold and silver values and from 1 to 2 per cent in copper cop-per values. There are at present seven men employed on the property, which is equipped with an oil -driven compressor anil hoist and all of the other necessary mining machinery. The company has been financed to carry to completion a campaign of development de-velopment work that has been outlined and the work will continue throughout the winter months. Tho company owns seven claims, located about five miles from "Rio Vista, a station on the Tonopah & Goldfield railroad. |
