Show TEXAS LEAGUE WANTS OUT RULEG1IGED Western League Club Owners Own-ers Say O'Neill Is Out of Organization; Meeting Opens Today. PAN FRANCISCO. Nov. 8. Though storms in the Sierras have caused a five-hour five-hour delay to the special -train which is bringing; a large delegation from I he east to the annual convention of the National Association of Professional Baseball leagues, scheduled to open here tomorrow, a preliminary meetfhg of the board of arbitration, arranged for this evening, was not postponed. President Allan T. Baum of the Pacific Pa-cific Coast league met the incoming delegates dele-gates at Sacramento and the meeting was to be held while the train was completing com-pleting the journey. Many delegates already are. on tbe ground and the consensus of opinion tonight to-night was that the convention would be a peaceful one, despite predictions to the contrary. No Chance for Tip. While it was expected that a strong endeavor would be made bv Norris ("Tip") O'Neill to retain the presidency of the Western league, W. R. Rourke of Omaha and E. J. Hanlon of Sioux City declared tonight that his fight would be a losing one. "Most of the managers of the Western league clubs do not recognize Mr. O'Neill In any capacity," said Hanlon. This statement was borne out by Rourke, who said : "O'Neill was ousted officially last September Sep-tember and iMr. Hanlon was elected as his successor. Any meetings called hv Mr. O'Neill will not be regarded as official of-ficial and no attention will be paid to any of bis edicts." Want Rule Changed.
