November 4, 1941 Dear Lee: Enclosed is $2.00 for the Bingham Bing-ham Bulletin for another year. Nothing much to report except the addition to the family (Donald (Don-ald Edd Grant, age three months) about whom I'm too prejudiced I to report on intelligently. Have been very busy this last year. All spring I was tied up with the testing of the Army's new caliber .30 carbine. Winchester finally won out of a field of seven. It is a sweet little gun and will really make the U. S. army effective ef-fective as it will replace the present pre-sent pistol. There are lots of other oth-er things that are hot right now. If the general public could see just how much goes into turning turn-ing out arms they wouldn't be so impatient. If we can get time on our side we can do anything. Would sure like to get back home for good or at least a visit but it looks like there will be no chance for several years yet. A few from here have been sent to Egypt so don't know what i to exuect.
