Show HINT TO BRYAN. Secretary Bryan has been greatly worried of late because the war in Mexico Mex-ico promises to interfere with his Chautauqua Chau-tauqua dates, u au effort to help him out of his dilomma, we take great pleas-ore pleas-ore in suggesting a plan. No doubt on all the Chautauqua circuits the mediators media-tors would be a feature second only to ilr. Bryan himself, and just a grade above the Tyrolean Warblers. The secretary sec-retary of state, therefore, should take all the mediators with him on his Chautauqua Chau-tauqua trips, and while he is talking be could mediate, aud if any time remained re-mained after his talk he could show them on the stage and let them do a few stunts. He could bill them with himself as W. J. Bryan & Company. The only objection to this is that the mediators themselves might object to the indignity, but Secretary Bryan could explain that it was not humiliating humiliat-ing in this couutry for statesmen to go into vaudeville and he could cite himself him-self as a beautiful example. |
