Show STOCKINGS AND CAP FOUND IN A BOAT Mystery Surrounds Discovery of Clothing Cloth-ing at Decker Lake; Sheriff Seeks Owner. A high school cadet cap and a pair of boy's stockings found in a boat on a canal at Decker's lake west of the city by B. O. Snyder, are causing the sheriff's office some trouble. In the hope of determining de-termining something of the identity or safety of the owner of tlie articles of apparel, ap-parel, deputies searched the neighborhood of the lake vesterday for some clew. Whether the hoy to whom the articles of clothing originally belonged was ever in the boat and whether he escaped alive or not if he was, are-the questions that concern the detectives. The stockings were of a size to fit a boy between 8 and 12 vears of age. I'p to a late, hour last night Sheriff Andrew Smith, Jr., had found no solution to the question aroused by the finding of the cap and stockings. |
