Following tho opening exercises, the convention" will listen to the annual address ad-dress of President F. J. Macf nharth of Salt Lake, eastern Vice President A. J. Knoll in of Chicago, western Vice President Presi-dent M. I. Porter of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Secretary p. W. M.-Clure. It is likely that tho problem of preda-I preda-I tory wild animals will he one of the important im-portant questions before the national convention, as it was before the state convention. Hugh Sprou:tt of Boise, president of the Idaho Woolgrowers' association, i.-s down for an address on this subject before the national gathering gather-ing this morning. Crazing, feeding and crossbreeding will be the topics this afternoon. Speakers will include Hugh Wood of Spencer, Idaho, Ida-ho, Senator C. H. Williams of Deer liodgc, Mont., and Associate Forester Ktpp of Washington. Simultaneous with the opening of the national convention there will be opened in the Auditorium a great exhibit of the wool Industry, showing the evolution ot wool from the ltvo sheep to the woven fabric. The entire afternoon session of the convention tomorrow vill bn given over to an Inspection of this exhibit. A lecture on the, various features of the exhibit will be given. The annual election of oflicers and selection se-lection of a convention seat for 1915 will take place on Saturday, the List day of the convention- Indications are that the convention will be largely attended. It is something of an experiment to hold this ronventl.m in November. Usuallv it is held in January. |
