Show NELMS MURDER CASE i TO BE DISCONTINUED Prosecution Unable to Prove Death; lanes and Wife Gain Freedom. SAN AXTOXIO, Texas, Nov. 11. Tho charges of murder against Victor Innes and hia wifo here for the alleged deaths of Beatrice iSelms and Mrs. Eloise Selms Dennis, sisters, of Atlanta, will be dismissed Monday, District At-torney At-torney Linden announced in court to-dav. to-dav. At a hearing in the court where the limes trial is set for Monday, Mr. Linden Lin-den said the state has been unable to establish the fact of tho Nelms sisters' death and therefore would not undertake under-take trial. The case will be called Monday before the regular jury and, if a plea of not guilty is entered, the court will instruct a verdict of that character. Indictments against Innes and his wife, returned by an Atlanta, Ga., grand jury, and charging misapplication misapplica-tion of funds, still are pending and efforts ef-forts will be made to take tlieui there for trial. This will be contested. The Xclms sisters, Beatrice Xelms and Eloise Xelms Dennis, disappeared earlv this spring. They were traced to Texas, where clews disappeared. |
