Governor George W. P. Hunt has written to Secretary .Arthur Hooker of tho congress announcing his intention to sou that the new stnto has a. delegation dele-gation at tho jreat convention. Gnv-ornor Gnv-ornor Hunt writes: "1 shall endeavor to make finch wise seloi'tion of delegates dele-gates as will jnsui'c Arizona's adequate rcproentaf ion." An e.nde.ayor -will be made lo secure tho presence at the congress of Gov-ornor Gov-ornor Uunt, himself, through, invitations invita-tions from Governor Smy, Senator Now-lands, Now-lands, president of tho "National Irrigation Irri-gation congress, and other officials who will have inriuenco with tho Arizona governor. Tho new state has always taken an active iutere-st in tho congress work, to -which it is largelj' indebted for the Salt lliver valley reclamation project, which hna cost" more than $9,000,000", and which furnishes water for 230,000 acres of land, besides supplying light and power to the settlers.
