Show Fund for Orphans Will Close Today Committee Will Meet This Afternoon to Apportion Money Among Orphans Entitled to Participate Par-ticipate in Benefits; Bank Books for Christmas Gifts. AT NOON" today The Tribuno Orphans' Or-phans' Christmas Fund will come to a close, tho money that has accumulated for thrs benefit of the Orphans of Salt Lake v,W be placed in the bank, and on Monday morning morn-ing the kiddles will Mnd a bank book In their stockings. - This afternoon the committee having in charge the. task of apportioning' the fund among all the .orphan children will make the division and submit to the bank Its list of names and the amount to' which each child is entitled. The committee com-mittee is. composed of the following well-known well-known citizens: Mrs. Margaret Zatic WItcher. county clerk; Joseph S. Pocry. a prumlucnr member of the Church of Jesus Christ of l-ttter-day Saints: the Rev. Father K. Ryan, representing Kearns-St. Ann's orphanage: Mrs. Harriet Har-riet S. Oglesby, president of the Orpheus'. Homo and Hav Nursery, and the Rev. Dr. F. R Short, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Share and Share Alike. The committee will divide tfie total ir the donations received for the fund by the miMfoer of orphans entitled lo par-1 tle'fiate. The division lll be made on I a bash, of abcolute equality the sharo-and-slmro-allkc plan. All of the orphan In the ICcarns-St. Ann's orphanage nnd tho Orphans' Homo and Pay Nursery will be eligible lo sharo in the bonofits of th fund, and also those orphans- who are not Inmates of either of the two Institutions Institu-tions but uho have registered at The Tribune ofllce. The Tribune Inaugurated the Christmas fund wjlh a donation of OO. This amount will be included In the total that will bo distributed today In the form of bank iiccounla. Still Time to Donate. There Is still half a day In which lo subscribe to the fund, and those who have neglected to send In their donations before are Invited to do so this morning. Il Is desired to mako the deposit credited to each child as large as possible. In spite of the fact that almost everybody every-body was engaged lu Christmas shopping, ycstcrdiij's benefit performance at the Orpheuin nelle,) a sum that will make a material addition to the total. Those who attended the benellt enjoyed the performance per-formance immensely. This was espe ial-ly ial-ly true in the cao of the cldldrcn. a larcp number of whom were present.
