With the ultlniateobjeet of standardizing all hash Served In public places in Ka'nsasr the state hoard of health today Instituted an Investigation as to the Ingredients commonly com-monly used by restaurants 'and -hotels' iu the concretion of the dish. The Investigation Investi-gation Is the result of numerous petitions sent to Dr. S. J. Cnimbtne, secretary of the board, by hash victims. "This department has found that all mixed foodH must be standardized, or tho pure food law cannot bo enforced." said Dr. Crumblnc. "An egg Is an egg. an orange is an orange, but mincemeat and hash are combinations for which standards stand-ards must be maintained. "The standard committee of the department depart-ment could make a ruling that hash should consist of a certain kind of meat, potatoes, onions, carrots or other vegetables, vegeta-bles, and require that they be clean and fresh. The board docn not propose to denature hash merely to lame It down. ' |
