Show 1 Hearing Montana Coal' Case. HELENA, Mont.. Oct. 21. The trial of the case of the Monluna, Wyoming & Southern Railway company against the slate railroad commission was concluded In the United Stales court this afternoon after-noon and after listening to tho arguments argu-ments of counsel, Judge Carl Raach announced an-nounced that he would render a decision deci-sion tomorrow morning. Tlio suit was brought to reverse the action of the railroad commission in fixing Hi'i con Is per ton as tho ma-Vimuin charge for hauling coal from the Hear Crock Held In Carbon county, to Rrldgnr, tho terminus ter-minus of a branch of thu Northern Pacific Pa-cific railway. The testimony presented -was confllet-ing, confllet-ing, coal operators testifying that tho railroads could not handle the shipments offered, while the officials of tho railroad company testified that tho amount of coal offered for shipment was not sufficient suf-ficient to enable the company to pny Its, fixed charges under tho rale as fixed' by' the commission. Arguments were mado by Assistant Attorney General W. j. Murphy for the commission and Royal 15. T. Rigps of Now York for tho railway rail-way company. |
