Brltton is an expert machinist and claims to havo discovered a principle of flylnjr which has not heretofore been known to aeroplane -builders. He explains tills as consisting of the "application of a dead wclpht venter to the biplane, thereby securing equilibrium." Brltton's life sentence was brought about by the exposure of a swindling Kame in which he advertised extensively for a governess to go to California. Mis Mjhcmo was to accompany the victim to the train and on a pretext of buying her ticket, secure her money and decamp.
