| Show from wednesdays DAILY tjien want an investigation ay iy the city council of salt lake last night mayor armstrong and marshal solomon requested an investigation by that body of charges made against them by that late political organization know as the grand jury of the district the mayor says in liis communication muni cation I 1 beg to call your attention to the fact eliat I 1 havo been arrested upon indictment made by the grand jury of this district charging me with aiding and abetting in the misappropriation of moneys and while I 1 am not advised as to alio specific charges made against me and will probably not ascertain until saturday next at which time I 1 have been notified to appear for arraignment I 1 respectfully ask that a committee be appointed to investigate said charges as I 1 do not believe any man guilty of aiding and abetting in alie misappropriation of public koneya to be worthy of the position of mayor of this city or president of this council the marshal made a verbal stafe ment and said eliat lio had been arrested on alie chirgo of pria ting public funds and asked eliat a committee investigate liw affairs and if anything crooked was found he was ready to be removed from office deferred to alie next meeting of alio council |
