OCR Text	Show THE BABY hippopotamus special to the dec 7 the baby hippopotamus popo tamus which on sunday night came to gladden the hearts of its mamma fatima nee miss murphy and its father caliph was setting on famously today to day in the central park zoo it had been transferred to a hig cage all to to itself and it played like a child in the straw with which the cage was filled fatima absolutely refused to nourish his fat little child and in consequence it was forced to take nourishment from a champagne bogue filled with warm milk the baby was named today to day As a delicate tribute to the memory of one who lias been generally lamented in this city received the name of mr mcginty
