| Show THE DEMOCRATS KNOW THEIR BUSINESS there is one thing very certain and the republicans have to concede the fact that when it comes to system for the democrats are right ther time an instance has just occurred in washington bearing out this assertion wherein the democratic members of the house have agreed that a general committee of fifteen should be appointed who ahall have supervisory control of all mat m which it is necessary that the party policy shall be maintained this committee will be divided up into civo committees subcommittees sub each having certain lines oe work to look after and to perform one of these sub com will bo charged with the duty of inquiring into all points at issue on the seventeen contested election cases which are to be contested the policy as now outlined provides that wherever there is strong evidence that a republican contestant is entitled to ahe goat which he asks the committee subcommittee sub having them in charge reports such cases to the full committee and they will advise their party of the finding and will recommend that no contest be maintained against the man who is evidently entitled to occupy the seat for which a certificate is held by a democrat at present on the other hand in cases which show that the holder has a prima facie right to his seat or where the doubts favor the democrat it shall be so reported and vigorously fought this policy if carried out will materially aid in settling the contested cases and will be likely to result in simplifying the course of procedure |
