Tho real estate men of Salt Lako have lent their Indorsement to the plan for advertising ad-vertising the city as proposed by the Commercial club publicity bureau. At a meeting Tuesday afternoon at the Commercial Com-mercial club tho real estate men pledged thomuolvcB to the support of tho publicity pub-licity bureau. There wcro present at the meeting thes real estato mon. E. M. Ashton, H. S. Anderson, J. A. Burt, George M. Cannon, H. C. Hoffman, A. N. Humphries, C. "W. Johnson, O. P. Potcrson, "W. 13. Hubbard, Clarence Ncslln and J. L. Perkes. tho latter the secretary of tho Real Estato association. In addition, there were in attendanco President John II. Johnson of the Commerclol club, S. B. Rlcnby. director direc-tor of publicity; Secretary Joseph E. Caino and II. L. A. Culmor. The mooting had been called by President Presi-dent Johnson. In his remarks ho explained ex-plained tho objects of the publicity bureau bu-reau organization, and also explained tho method of raising funds for the work. IIo said that the fund had now reached $14 -000. Mr. PJcaby explained the work being done In' other citlc3 in tho way of community com-munity advertising, and went Into tho plans to bo used In advertising Salt Lalcc City. For the real estate men, Messrs. Cannon. Can-non. Hoffman, "Johnson, Anderson and Peterson spoke briefly. They nil spoke in the Interest of the Real Estato association asso-ciation and pledged their personal support sup-port to tho publicity bureau and agreed to uso their Influence with the association associa-tion to obtain Its support also. Mr Culmer made a few remarks. In which ho referred to early-day efforts at advertising Salt T.ako City through the endeavors of the chamber of commorce. He recalled tho time when Salt Lake sent a car cast laden with products of TJtnh soil and Industrial establishments. The feeling at tho meeting wns pronounced pro-nounced splendid and indicatlvo of earnest and hearty co-oporatlon for Salt Lake's benefit. |
