Show MURRAY NEWS NOTES j Special to the Tribune. MURRAY, Nov. 20. Two sessions of tho quarterly conference of Granite slake were held in the. stako tabernacle Sunday, Sun-day, both being well attended. The principal prin-cipal address of the conference was delivered de-livered at the afternoon session by Apostle Orson F. Whitney. Officers of tho slake wore presented and sustained, the only change being the appointment of Adam Bcnnlon as assistant to Joseph S. Morrill on the Sunday-school board. Music was furnished by the choir of Sugar House ward. The speakers at the morning session were Edwin Reunion of the stake presidency and Bishop A. Woodruff Wood-ruff and Seymour B. Young of the first seven presidents of seventies. O- P. Miller of Ihe presiding bishopric spoke- briefly at the afternoon session, contrasting conditions years ago with conditions now. Mr. Miller returned recently re-cently from a trip through southern Utah, and he presented an Interesting review of conditions In Dixie. The address of Mr. Whitney was on doctrinal lines, embracing em-bracing the mission of Christ on earth and the mission of the Holy Ghost. Frank Y. Taylor, president of the stake, presided pre-sided at both meetings. |
