For years tho westbound freight rates between Utah common points and all points on thr, pacific coast have been considerably higher than the eastbound rates. The new schedule announced by the Salt Lako Uoute will make eastbound and westbound rates the same. It is expected thai tho Southern Pacilie and the Oregon Short Line will make similar reductions.
