Show OHIO COMPANY 111! GIVES SATISFACTION Plant Running Smoothly and Big Tonnage Being Treated Daily. Manager Colin Mcintosh of tho Ohio Copper property spent Sunday in an inspection of tho company's now milling mill-ing plant, and Monday expressed himself him-self as being vory well pleased with tho manner in which tho concentrator is running. Tho first unit of tho mill, after having been given a thorough tryout, is now grinding away steadily on 750 tons of ore every twenty-fo.ur hours, and though as yet no figures can bo given as to tho value- recoveries, tho niaungoment is not wonying in the least on that point. The oro being treated now is that taken from near tho surfaco in tho mine, and in its drop of over 1000 feet through tho chutes to the tunnel level, it is broken up into small sizes, and thus tho process of concentration is simplified and a tonnage above the normal capacity of tho section of the mill now in operation oper-ation is being treated. About 1000 tons of ore is being taken through the Mas-cotte Mas-cotte tunnel daily. Mine Looks Good. Mr. Mcintosh is well ploasod also with tho condition of the mine, and states that the recent developments on the Elvina veins give assurance of a practically new mine in the company's ground. Tho ore body on tho Elvina is now four feet wide and the product shows assay values of $1.S0 in gold, 1 per cent copper, 20.2 per cent iron and .6 of an ounco silver. By raising about 200 feet a connection can bo mado with the Mascottc tunnel, so that tho newly developed deposit can bo handled ns economically and conveniently con-veniently as tho other ores of the mine. The second unit of the mill will be put in commission in about two weeks, and as soon as practicable the entire plant will-be in operation. Mr.- Mcintosh Mc-intosh feels ,istry proud of the late accomplishments of his company and believes that a very bright future is ! now assured. |
