Of these 177 showed tho election of Republicans Re-publicans and 139 tho election of Democrats. Dem-ocrats. In' tho entire list thcro were few changes in political complexion and tho net result was f avorablo to tho Republicans. Thoro will bo many familiar facps in tho next cougreas, including Speaker Cannon and. his chief licutonants, Messrs. Paj'no, Dalzell,. Tawney, Burton Bur-ton of Ohio. McCnll of Massachusetts nnd Bartholdt of Missouri. Thcro was especially vigorous opposition to j Messrs. Cannon, Tawney and Dalzell, but they are all reported as victorious. On tlio Democratic side, Champ Clark and Mr. Do Arruond of Missouri. Clayton Clay-ton of Alabama. Rainoy of Illinois, Ollio Jamos of Kentucky, Ransdcll of Louisiana, and Francis Burton Harrison Harri-son and Fitznurald of New York are all corlainlv returned. Delaware will send a now Ropublicnn, Mr. lleald. in plnco of Roprcsentativc Burton; Georgia a now Democrat, Mr. Hugho3. in place of Mr. Lewis, and Illinois James M. Graham, Gra-ham, Democrat, in place of Caldwell, 1 Democrat. Frank Dodd, Republican, comes from Michigan in plnco of Mr. Darragh. whilo Clarouco B.
