Show BISHOP SMOKED OUT BY JUDGE W. H. KING A rally, under the auspices of tho Democratic parly, was held at Sandy Friday Fri-day evening and the town hall was packed to tho doors by upwards of 1500 people, who desired to hear tho varfoOtf Issues discussed by Jesse William Knight, J. H. Moyle and Judge W. H. King. Mr. Knight was tho first speaker and he discussed tho Issues affoctlug him ann told the people what he would do If olect-cd olect-cd governor. He was followed by Mr. Moyle, who discussed national Issues. Tho last speaker was Judge King. During Dur-ing the course of his addross Judge King smoked out ono bishop by saying that there had been whisperings going on In Sandy for some time past. He was interrupted in-terrupted by the bishop, who. arising, said that no one had cvor gono among the people with his knowledge or consent. Tho speaker gave him credit for this, hut asked the question: "Isn't It a fact that somo people have done this very thing, even without your knowledge or consent?" con-sent?" The bishop remained silent, but the people answered "yes." A groat reuctlon against the church has been made manifest In Sandy and a big Democratic majority Is being claimed there. |
