The bargain was made between Taft's managers and Rockefeller, Rocke-feller, und concerns the possible future administration of Mr. Taft, and not what tho present administration has or has not done to the Standard Oil com pnnj" t Replying to another printed article, in which it wns charged that Mr. Rockefeller had been persuaded to in-dorso in-dorso Taft at tho instauco of the Democratic Demo-cratic national committee, said Mr. Mack : "The statement is ridiculous and ab-surd ab-surd on tho face of it, and has already been sufficient!' answered by me."
