Show MONEY FOR THE BONDS .RECEIVED BY THE BOARD Special to The Tribune. OGDEJs-, Oct. 30. At the regular meeting meet-ing of the board of education tonight tho treasurer reported the receipt of tho 575.000 received from the purchaser of the high school bonds voted by the taxpuycrs of this city several months ugo and pur- chased by a Chicago firm. Fifty thou-i thou-i sund dollars of this amount was ordered I placed In the savjngs bank at 4 per cent Interest until It could be used. The hoard decided that $25,000 would bo sufficient at this time to begin excavation and other preliminary work on the new building and that the larger sum will not be needed until next spring. The plane for the new high school building will be examined by tho bidders on tho contract, which will he let next Wednesday at a special meeting of the board. Actual work will bo started on the now building by November 15. Aftor transacting routine bunlnese the board adjourned. |
