Denny. The usual number of pretty and attraeivc booths will be seen. The fancy table will be in charge of Mrs. C. D. Moore. Mrs. G. Y. Wallace and Mrs. F. J. Dickcrt. Mrs. J. ,T. Broughall will have the miscellaneous tablo, with a special variety of dolls. She will be assisted by Mrs? II. Vance Lane, Mrs, E. M. Allison, jr.. Mrs. W. II. Nutting and Mrs. B, M. Raj'mond. Mrs, N. F. Putnam will have the domestic do-mestic table, and the Girls' Friends-society Friends-society will have charge of the candy booth. Tho sale will continue during the evening. M It Mrs. George L. Savage entertained seven tables at bridge, followed by tea, when about fifteen friends went, in honor of Mrs. A. H. Snow. The rooms were prettily decorated, the parlors in pink carnations and ferns, and the dining-room in red. In the center of the toa tablo was a mirror with a vase of red carnations, and at the corners were silver candelabra with red candles and shades. Mrs. W. H. Dale poured, assisted bv the Misses Bcrnadino Kimball and Geneva Savage. Sav-age. Prizes were won by Mrs. R. P. Coleman, Mrs. J. A. Peeves, Mrs. D. P. Corny. Mrs. A. II. Peabodv. Mrs. J. J. Broughall, Mis. II. P. Henderson and Mrs. Fred Worming. The Woman :s Republican club met Monday afternoon with Mrs. Charles H. Jenkins, nnd the' following new officers wore chosen for the coming year: Mrs. Elizabeth Eichnor, president; Mrs. T. D. Lewis, vice-president; Mrs. .J. P. Solomon, who has spent the past nine months here with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Henry Cohn. has returned to her home in New York, accompanied by Miss Helen Cohn. who will visit in iinanv of the large cities -of-the east. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Riser entertained enter-tained fourteen at an Orpheum party Monday evening, followed by a supper at their home, in honor of Mrs. Kiser's brother. Lystcr Chambers, who is play- j ing at the Orpheum this week. Mrs. Ij. P. Vot-e of Chicago is hero, the guest of her sister, Mrs. O. G. Xcl-son, Xcl-son, at 105 Fifth East, for a lew days, on her way to Los Angeles to spend the winter." Miss Mary Young, who has spent some time with Mr. nnd Mrs. Joseph Voting, left Monday for Wyoming, where she will visit' her brother, and later go to California. - i. V Mrs. Harry Knight aud three children will leave early in the .new year for southern California, where thev will spend several months. ' 4. V Mrs. Karl Scheid will go to Xew York after the holidays to spend a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. F. K. Woodruff. H Friends will be glad to hear that Mrs-. W. D. Foster is able lo be up after her long and serious illness. Mr. and Mrs, J. W. Brooks left Sunday Sun-day for Oaklnnd, Cal., where they will make their home. |
