Show COUNCIL'S ATTITUDE ON I NEW LIQUOR ORDINANCE Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. April 10.. The new liquor ordinance ordi-nance which was laid over at Jthc last meeting of the city council probably will lie called from the table Monday night for a reconsideration.. Frofn the vote taken at the. last session on the question of passing Ihe ordinance to Its third reading It appears that the members of the council arc about evenly divided on lis passage. Some arc Inclined to think that the ordinance regulating "the sale of liquor In the city now In operation Is abundantly abundant-ly sufficient to abate all evils which may arise In the liquor traffic In Ogden. There are others, however, who believe that the amended ordinance as submitted should be passed and become a law. There Is a section In the proposed amended ordlnnnee prohibiting the sale of liquor by any restaurant or hotel In the city. This seems to be one of the most objecllonablo features to some members mem-bers of the council. At a recent meotlng of the Ministerial association, the ordinance In its entirety was discussed at length, and It Is probable prob-able tliat a delegation from the association associa-tion will attend the council meeting Monday Mon-day night for the purpose, of urging the passage of the ordinance. |
