All are making the effort, of their lives, and piling up thousands and thousands of votes to their credit to determine whether or nor, he or shoi is to receive a share of the fiOOO shining gold dollnrs that are to be given away between now and October Octo-ber 1. Two thousand two hundred and fifty of these dollars will be distributed distribu-ted among tho contestants next week. The polls in'thc first period of tho great contest, close at JO p. m. Saturday. August 22. Any reports turned over to local agents in the outside towns, or placed in the postoffice bv that, time will be accepted, and tho votes counted. Bo sure and get your reports in the postoffico by 10 o'clock, or in the Tribuno or Telegram local office if thev have ono in your city. As soon as the votes can be counted and rc-checked by the committee, the awards will be made. Nineteen prizes, amounting in all to $2250, is the amount that will be distributed. This is the last lime that the votes will be published, and no more votes will be counted until the polls have closed; which makes it, absolutely impossible for anybody to know how many votes any contestant will have until the official count is made. Every ballot, and report will be gone over by the auditing committee verv carcfullv, and every report will be checked, so that Micro will be a square deal and a fair count. The money is going to be given away, and the management have no favorites in the field; the contestants contest-ants who have the most votes will yet the coin.
